Hidden quest givers are an uncommon phenomenon due to the fact that available quests are displayed on one’s minimap as giant bright yellow exclamation marks.

However, it is still possible to miss quest givers that aren’t visible to the “naked eye” if one isn’t paying attention, especially in places where quest givers are not expected to be.

Sometimes figuring out how to get to certain quest givers can be tricky, and World of Warcraft is littered with fantastic quests that are missed by most players due to their obscure placement.

Horde

If you’re playing a Horde character, head on over to the Barrens and find the entrance to the Wailing Caverns, where you’ll notice a large skull (which in fact marks the entrance). Make your way around the mountain, so that you can climb on top of the skull, jump down onto the skull’s nose and then jump into the skull’s right eye socket.

Surprise – this is in fact a cave filled with Horde NPC’s! You’ll find a Specialist Leatherworking Supplies NPC here, as well as two quest givers (rewards involving a 10-slot bag and Leatherworking recipes), as well as a LeatherworkingTrainer.

Alliance

If you’re playing Alliance then head on over to the Western column of the bridge connecting Wetlands and Arathi Highlands. Here you will find a hidden dwarf. You’ll need to jump in order to reach this guy, as his column of the bridge is unconnected to the rest.

Make the jump from the Arathi side of the bridge onto the column. You’ll notice a small outcropping on the tower onto which you can jump. His timed quest involves delivering Moonshine to Southshore. In order to make the jump, you’re going to need to down a swiftness potion or have a speed-enhancing spell active.

Considering there is a time limit of 15 minutes set on the above quest, quickly jump off of the tower into the water below where you will notice a large number of boulders skattered about in the water. Look around for a skeleton that will be partially underneath one of the boulders and almost right underneath the bridge.

Next to said skeleton, you’ll notice a rolled up scroll. Interact with the scroll in order to receive yet another quest.
