Ten worst games of 2009, so far
It is common place for various publications to do ‘best game’ roundups, after all, we all love to know what the must-plays are.
Around midway through the year MyGaming looked at some of the best games released so far in 2009. The results were hardly surprising, with the likes of Street Fighter IV and Killzone 2 topping the list. We also looked at the 10 best PC exclusives, as well as our five most anticipated games still to come this year.
In order to give the most unbiased viewpoint, Metacritic is used as it aggregates review scores taken from a wide range of publications.
Using the same system we give you the 10 worst games of 2009 so far.
1. Leisure Suit Larry: Box Office Bust (PS3,PC,Xbox 360) 18/100
2. Hannah Montanah: The Movie (Xbox 360) 25/100
3. Stalin vs. Martians: (PC) 25/100
4. ShellShock 2: Blood Trails (Xbox 360, PS3, PC) 30/100
5. Tunnel Rats 9 (PC) 30/100
6. COD The Dummy (Wii) 31/100
7. Rolling Stone: Drum King (Wii) 32/100
8. Merchants of Brooklyn (PC) 35/100
9. Damnation (PC,PS3,Xbox 360) 36/100
10. Grey’s Anatomy (PC) 36/100
Most of the games listed would be considered ‘shovelware’ by many, however, Shellshock 2 and Damnation were intended to be serious games, and Damnation was actually expected to be quite good.
Other notable mentions include Stormrise and Terminator Salvation, which both scored low across the board.
