Funcom announces a medieval free-for-all

Funcom's offering free trip around Hyboria for anyone who creates an Age of Conan account and logs in before 1 January 2010. For the sum of absolutely nothing, you'll be able to grind out 20 levels over an unlimited time period.

To curb the otherwise inevitable torrent of gold farmers and spammers, however, the account comes packing a few restrictions – no item trading with other players, no in-game mail, no public chat channels, no posting on the forums. But you do get to chop people up with enormous axes.

So you don't have to buy the game after 7 days is up? So you can experience the full first 20 levels with no limitations? Also, to increase the subscriber base :P That sir, is the point.
