Infinity Ward releases dates for first Modern Warfare 2 DLC

The first downloadable content release for 2009's first person shooter smash hit Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 is due to hit the Xbox 360 on March the 30th.

Infinity Ward revealed that the package might cause a state of "Mapathy" – also known as "a state of indifference to the same old maps one has been playing for the last several months."

Details regarding the number and specifications of the maps are currently unclear. It is also uncertain when the same package will be released on other platforms.

The developer did however announce earlier this year that the map pack would be making its way to the Xbox 360 before PS3 and PC.

Considering the amount of people playing MW2 and taking into account the vast amount of time we've been playing it, this map pack is actually way, WAY overdue! I personally have virtually stopped playing MW2 simply because I'm sick and tired of seeing the same maps and the same tactics over and over again. And I'm only level 61 of Prestige One! I can't imagine how on earth the guys in Prestige 2, 3 and higher are still going! It's insane!

Until those new maps arrive, I'll be playing Anno 1404: Venice, and Command and Conquer thank you very much!

Also, can't wait to get my hands on BF:BC2!

Never played MW2 multi player, but I would say that BF:BC2 owns it so hard.
