Microsoft adds new titles to Xbox 360 classic range
Microsoft’s gaming division today announced the expansion of its ‘Classics’ range for Xbox 360.
This will see the inclusion of two “blockbuster titles”, namely Fable II and Halo Wars. Both of these games are arguably regarded as Xbox 360 classics, having been previously released as exclusives for the console.
Fable II, a Lionhead developed RPG released in late 2008 currently holds a Metacritic aggregate score of 89 out of 100 and follows a medieval storyline.
According to Microsoft “Fable II provides gamers with an epic story and innovative realtime gameplay that truly allows players to live the life they choose in an unimaginably open world environment where their every decision continually defines who they become. Fable II Classics comes fully loaded with Fable II plus the Knothole Island and See the Future premium game add-ons, two additional adventures for your Hero to embark upon.”
Halo Wars, the first real time strategy title in the Halo series, currently holds a Metacritic aggregate score of 82 of 100 and has been widely praised for its excellent use of the Xbox 360 control interface.
Microsoft describes Halo Wars as “a strategy game based on the legendary Halo universe- command entire armies of Spartans, Warthogs and more as you join the crew of the “Spirit of Fire” battling the alien Covenant. Designed from the ground up for the Xbox 360, Halo Wars let you effortlessly command powerful armies in epic battles.”
Each title will be available for the recommended retail price of R299.
