Xbox Live Activity Charts (Week beginning March 1)
Our favourite dedicated Xbox 360 website Xboxgaming.co.za has announced its weekly Xbox Live activity charts for SA.
XboxGaming tracks South Africa’s Xbox Live activity, monitoring exactly what games are being played the most on a weekly basis. Of course, the charts only include gamers that are online, and furthermore, only gamers that are registered with XboxGaming are counted. Head on over to their registration page to sign up and make a difference.
SA's Xbox Live activity charts (week beginning March 1)
1. Modern Warfare 2
2. Battlefield: Bad Company 2
3. Mass Effect 2
4. Borderlands
5. BioShock 2
6. Forza Motorsport 3
7. Gears of War 2
8. Call of Duty 4
9. FIFA 10
10. Trials HD
Once again, Modern Warfare 2 dominated Xbox Live activity last week, while the newly released Bad Company 2 made an impressive debut at second place. Mass Effect 2 also showed growth, climbing to third place. Borderlands also climbed from 6th place to 4th place perhaps thanks to its DLC support and multiplayer longevity, and Forza 3 made a promising re-entry at 6th place.
Most interesting was the aging Call of Duty 4’s re-entry into the top ten, along with Trials HD along with FIFA 10 which replaces PES 2010 after its brief sojourn at 9th place. Assassin’s Creed 2, along with Left 4 Dead 2 and Halo 3 were among the games which dropped out of the charts to accommodate the new entries.
In next week’s figures we expect to see Final Fantasy XIII make an appearance, and it will be interesting to see if Bad Company 2 can dethrone the long standing chart topper Modern Warfare 2.
